In celebration of the 60th anniversary of our clinic we will be delving into the rich history of the Centre’s origins in Hampstead.
Anna Freud founded a wartime emergency nursery for orphans and children who were affected by the war and in 1952 this expanded into The Hampstead Child Therapy Course and Clinic. This quickly became an important source of help and support for families in the local area. Over the past 60 years the Clinic (renamed the Anna Freud Centre in 1982) has strengthened its roots in the community while developing a reputation as a world renowned source of information on child mental health.
Professor Mary Target, Professional Director and Dr Nick Midgley, MSc Course Director and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist will be leading the talk and will be delighted to answer questions in the Q&A following the talk. Light refreshments will also be provided.
