Largest ever study into adolescent depressionDepression is the number one cause of disability in the world, with over half of mental health costs in Europe going towards the treatment of people suffering from anxiety and depression. Among those suffering from clinical depression, more than 60% report that they first suffered from depression during their teenage years, suggesting the importance of intervening early.
Ruby Wax inadvertently became the “poster girl for mental illness” when she took part in a Comic Relief campaign a few years ago. Since then she has become well known for her tireless championing of mental health causes.

Christmas Concert KindnessThe Year 2 and 3 children at Northbridge House School have just held their Christmas Choir Concert with carols, mince pies and mulled wine. They have generously donated the collection, which raised over £275, to the Anna Freud Centre. We thank everyone at Northbridge House for this generous Christmas present.
