We are delighted to announce that the Anna Freud Centre’s AMBIT (Adolescent Mentalization-based Integrative Treatment) project won the Guardian/Virgin Media Innovation Nation award which rewards the most innovative use of technology in the UK public and private sector. The Judges were most complimentary and have told us that people voted "in their thousands". This is great news for the AMBIT project, and for the Anna Freud Centre.We are delighted to announce that the Anna Freud Centre’s AMBIT (Adolescent Mentalization-based Integrative Treatment) project won the Guardian/Virgin Media Innovation Nation award, which rewards the most innovative use of technology in the UK public and private sector. AMBIT won under the category of collaboration, and was up against a shared virtual data centre which connects 10 universities, 53 colleges and museums and nine councils in the Yorkshire and Humber metropolitain area, so thank you to everyone who voted for us! The Judges were most complimentary and have told us that people voted "in their thousands". This is great news for the AMBIT project, and for the Anna Freud Centre.
AMBIT, a treatment approach for “hard to reach” adolescents, is a perfect example of innovation and collaboration in the public and charity sector. It’s Comic relief funded web based manual was created with dissemination and knowledge sharing in mind. The radical open source technology gives teams a digital advantage, as it enables a network of field workers to locally customize the online manual, and share and compare content, ensuring that troubled and excluded young people have access to the best possible practice.
