Green fingers at the Anna Freud Centre
14 February 2013
The Anna Freud Centre is working with a local primary school, to increase children's access to green space and nature. As part of this work small groups of children come to the Centre on a weekly basis to play in a green space, as they do not have access to this in their own school.
Recently, the school children came up with an idea of creating a partnership for planting healthy food to encourage children to be more active, to eat their vegetables, and to learn more about the environment.
The children have been developing plans and with the support of local organisations and businesses will be planting vegetables and fruit in the Centre’s gardens. They will be having a ‘dig day’ on Friday 8th March to launch the partnership and plant all the vegetables.
How can you help?
