Child in Mind Committee bring glamour to fundraising

Ladbroke Grove saw an influx of spiky shoes and glossy hair on Tuesday 4th October as Dock Kitchen played host to the Anna Freud Centre’s inaugural Child in Mind lunch.The event’s guest speaker, Rachel Johnson (editor of The Lady), recounted tales from her childhood and, whilst entertaining, posed the question of how much of our future happiness is dictated by our family and school life. There was a raffle with some top quality prizes, including the ‘most wanted’ Nicolas Kirkwood shoes! Through raffles and pledges, the event has raised over £11,000.
Child in Mind events are the brainchild of our volunteer Events Committee. The Committee are raising funds for the Centre’s clinical services, while raising the profile of the Anna Freud Centre.
The event was a great opportunity to raise our profile, and the event was covered in West London Living - we were also featured in The Lady magazine's charity issue.
