Staff and volunteers raise over £1,200 in #tasteofchildhood event

undefined

As pupils headed back to school for the new term, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families had a treat in store for those reminiscing about their childhood days.

Staff and volunteers from our charity were giving out childhood foods in central London on Thursday 11th September 2014 and in the process raised over £1,200 in donations.

This charity fundraising event was the first in a new series and aims to evoke fond memories of childhood and school days. At the same time, the event aimed to highlight the huge challenges that young people face today, particularly those living in urban areas like central London, and the work the Centre does to support them.

Passers-by were offered snacks and were asked to donate to the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, as well to use social media site Twitter to tell the Centre about their favourite foods using the hashtag #tasteofchildhood.
