Information for families
Is your toddler under 2 years old?
- Trouble sleeping or eating?
- Feeling isolated, frustrated or angry?
- Worried about your relationship with your toddler?
- Difficulty separating?
- Developmental delays or concerns?
Toddlerhood is a challenging stage for both parent and child, and our group aims to support your relationship with your toddler.
Aims
We aim to promote your toddler’s development in all areas of his or her personality. We support your relationship with your child and help your child’s development though playing and talking.
How can we help?
- Our small informal parent-toddler groups meet weekly for one and a half hours.
- Parents can get advice and support from experienced professionals.
- We aim to build your relationship and support your toddler’s development through talk and play.
- We think together about your child’s feelings and behaviour, try to understand what she/he is communicating and explore ways of responding.
- We aim to encourage your child’s self-confidence and independence in preparation for nursery school.
We ask for a financial contribution from those who can pay, however modest, but it is at the core of our policy as a charity that no family will be refused help on grounds that they cannot pay.
