Courses and Programmes at the Anna Freud Centre
We are still recruiting students for most programmes for the 2013
intake with applications due in the coming months.
We are always grateful to our Alumni students for spreading the word of AFC courses and encouraging a new breed of curious students to join our programmes. If you know anyone who may be interested in one of our programmes or want to find out if the course has changed since you joined, please have a look at our course brochures.
MSc Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology (PDP) will be in its
20th year and to mark this landmark, we are now introducing voluntary clinical (and research) placements which are not accredited within the MSc programme but which will allow the student exposure to a clinical environment alongside formal clinical supervision and a work discussion group. Click here for PDP Flyer.

MSc Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology (DNP,
previously PDN) continues to grow in popularity for students spending the first year at the Anna Freud Centre / University College London and the second year at Yale University. Click here for DNP flyer.

Diploma in CBT and other Innovative Group Approaches.
The Anna Freud Centre is now running for a second year our Diploma in CBT and other Innovative Group
Approaches. This unique course, the first of its kind in the UK, offers a training in group-based interventions which have considerable applicability in IAPT therapy services. This course is currently funded to train London based IAPT clinicians in establishing and running group interventions. With the first year a great success and thanks to the hard work of Course Leaders Dr Morris Nitsun, Dr Alastair Bailey and Dr Jeff Halperin, the course is now well into its second year.
For further information, please contact Roz Ayres roz.ayres@annafreud.org
The Child IAPT course (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) is being delivered by the Anna Freud Centre alongside both UCL and
KCL. As some of you may know the Adult IAPT programme run by Dr Rachel Newman and Professor Steve Pilling has sadly now left The Anna Freud Centre and moved to UCL. With their departure came the arrival of the new Department of Health Initiative; Child IAPT, run jointly between UCL and Kings College London by Dr Peter Fuggle and Dr Derek Bolton. Having hit the ground running the course team are now successfully training Therapists, Supervisors and Managers from selected CAMHS services.

If you are able to pass details of this programme onto any Universities/Colleges you have either attended or taught at, or clinical establishments where you feel colleagues or students may be interested in our programmes, we would be most grateful. The electronic versions of the programmes are for you to distribute. We are producing a generic brochure covering all our courses that we will have very soon.
We are also more than happy to email you the PDFs or post you hard copies of the flyers if you were able to distribute these.
Thank you hugely
Saul
