Meet our staff
Meet the staff that work with our Parent and Young Champions to promote and support participation at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.
"I lead the Parent Participation Programme, and work to support and promote the voice of parents across the Centre. My role involves providing training and support to parents and carers, so they can meaningfully engage in and help shape mental health research, training and services. When I'm not working on parent participation, I can be found travelling, hula hooping and spending as much time as I can with family and friends! If you want to hear more about parent participation or would like to become a Parent Champion, please give me a shout!"
"I’m the Youth Participation Officer, my role is to get young people involved in projects across the Centre, from media to training to clinical services and more. I have been working in the field of youth mental health & participation since 2004 for various charities across the UK and you could say it has developed into a bit of a passion of mine. In my down time, you can find me watching or playing at gigs, running through the woods, swing dancing and traveling with friends. If you would like to be a Young Champion, do email me – I look forward to working with you."
