Short Course: Story Stem Assessment Profile Training: Ongoing Three Day Course
The Anna Freud Centre runs a three-day training course teaching the administration, coding and application of the Short Story Assessment Profile (SSAP) within both clinical and research domains. Click on the link below for more information about Story Stems.
SSAP Courses for Individuals
This course is organised by the Anna Freud Centre and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
We offer courses at the Anna Freud Centre.
The cost of this course is £600.

SSAP Courses for Groups
We also offer SSAP training courses for groups. These courses are held at the Anna Freud Centre and can be booked for dates that suit your group.

SSAP Advanced Refresher Courses
In addition, the Anna Freud Centre also offers a Story Stem Assessment Profile Advanced Refresher Course.
This 1-day training course is designed as a follow-up for all those who have undertaken the 3-day Story Stem course and become accredited using the system. It will be particularly useful for those who feel they have not had as much time to work on their skills as they anticipated. The course will provide a revision of the coding, administering and its clinical applications and also provide a forum for discussion and sharing experiences.
At no extra cost, receive accreditation in administration and/or rating by meeting the necessary criteria following completion of the course.
Practitioners who have trained with us sometimes find that they lack time to transcribe and/or rate a narrative assessment. They may also wish to obtain an independent rating.
We have therefore set up a service to provide ratings and, if necessary, transcriptions of assessments.
