This two-day workshop will expand on previous knowledge and use of mentalisation based treatment (MBT).

Who is this course suitable for?

The workshop is suitable for mental health and other professionals who are interested in the treatment of personality disorder and have already completed the basic 3-day training course. Prof. Fonagy and Prof. Bateman would like the advanced course to be the beginning of a ‘train the trainers’ programme and expect participants already to be using mentalisation techniques in their current practice.

Aims of course

To help participants develop their skills to treat patients with personality disorder using MBT and introduce how to train others in the use of the approach.
