Volunteer For Us
Volunteering is a fantastic way to make a real difference. We have a variety of opportunities to take part in the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families’ work & development. Volunteering can give you a platform to have your voice heard, a chance to develop personal and professional skills and potential to influence positively on children and adolescent’s mental health.
Current volunteering opportunities
- Youth Panel: This group meets every 6 weeks and is in many aspects of the work at the Centre. We are currently no longer recruiting for our Youth Panel, but will be doing so later in the year. If you are aged 14 - 25 and would like to be the first to know when this goes live, please contact Nick Morgan on Nicholas.Morgan@annafreud.org and we will be in touch soon.
- Parents Panel: We are always looking for parents and carers who have experience using mental health services to join the Parents Panel. The Parents Panel help us to develop publicity, reach out to other parents and come up with new service ideas. For more info please contact Nicholas.Morgan@annafreud.org.
We occasionally have voluntary roles within the Central Support Team, and these will be posted here when available. Please note that Central Support Team opportunities are administrative and are not directly related to clinical or research work and do not provide direct experience of working with children and young people. If you are interested in such positions, please keep an eye on the vacancies section of our website where these opportunities are advertised.
All volunteers receive support and training and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
