Schools in Mind: Working with Families and Multi-Family Groups
About this course
Schools in Mind is a network set up by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families to help school professionals in finding, evaluating and implementing solutions that promote the mental health and wellbeing of entire school communities.
The Schools in Mind network would like to invite you to our next free briefing: 'Working with Families and Multi-Family Groups'.
Who is this course for?
This breakfast briefing is primarily for Schools in Mind members, but we welcome anyone who has in interest in promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing in school communities.
What will the morning cover?
The briefing will provide information on Multi-Family Groups in Schools, and we will hear from people that have been trained and are running their own group. Brenda McHugh and Neil Dawson will be launching the Multi Family Groups in Schools microsite; an exciting new tool which provides online training and support on how to set up and run a group in school.
We will also hear from clinicians from our schools outreach team who will talk about their work engaging parents and carers in school.
• Launch of the Multi Family Group Microsite - Brenda McHugh & Neil Dawson, Co-Directors of Mental Health in Schools, Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families
• Hackney Multi-Family Group Experience – Michael Annan, Senior Educational Psychologist, Hackney Learning Trust
• Working with Families in School – Anoushka Khan, Clinical Psychologist/Team Coordinator and Chryssa Chalkidou, Systemic Psychotherapist, Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families
Refreshments will be provided.
