About this course

Embedding best practice use of outcome and feedback measures is being run by Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) in partnership with the Centre

The aim of this course is to support practitioners, managers and business/data managers working in children and young people’s mental health settings to understand what constitutes best practice in the use of outcome and feedback measures. Participants will understand how to embed this through local routines, processes and approaches and develop action plans to apply learning to their own organisational context.

The course will cover:

• A summary of the rationale for using outcome and feedback measures
• Best practice use of outcome and feedback measures: an overview of the CORC Best Practice Framework, including consideration of:

◦Leadership and management
◦Staff development
◦Infrastructure and information management
◦Service user experience


• Insight into tackling common challenges to outcome and feedback measurement
• An introduction into analysing and interpreting outcome measure data
• Key learning from implementation theory and behavioural science
• Support to initiate robust action plans around implementing outcome and feedback measurement

Practical exercises that facilitate shared learning, brief self-assessment, identification of areas of strength and development, and action planning

The course is suitable for professionals working with children and young people who would like to improve their practice, as well as service managers, outcomes leads and data leads who want to support best practice in the use of outcome and feedback measures.
