Dr. Yvonne Hemmings is a Clinical Psychologist, Step 2 Lead at Sutton IAPT service and IPT Lead for Adult Services at South West London and St. George’s NHS Mental Health Trust. As IPT Lead for Adult Services she is responsible for ensuring and developing high quality and sustainable IPT provision across IAPT and other adult services Trust-wide. She is an IPT-UK accredited practitioner and supervisor and is about to complete trainer accreditation and join the IPT teaching team at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. Dr. Hemmings has experience supervising both IPT and IPT-A trainee practitioners and IPT supervisors through the IPT-UK accreditation process, and has been closely involved with both the IPT and IPT-A IAPT training programmes. She currently supervises practitioners and supervisors across the age range, across primary and secondary care, and in specialist services. Dr. Hemmings provides IPT in primary care for the treatment of depression and PTSD, as well as CBT, BA and EMDR for depression, PTSD and anxiety disorders. Dr. Hemmings is also a visiting lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London, contributing to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology year 1 teaching programme, and is on the organizing committee for the IPT-UK London Network.
