About this course
Schools in Mind is a network set up by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families to help school professionals in finding, evaluating and implementing solutions that promote the mental health and wellbeing of entire school communities.
The Schools in Mind network would like to invite school staff from in and around Manchester to attend to our next free event at the University of Manchester on 5th July 2017. The afternoon will be a mixture of presentations, a marketplace with information about new initiatives to support school communities with wellbeing and mental health and networking opportunities.
Who is this course for?
Schools in Mind members; School staff and allied professionals within Manchester and it's surrounding areas.
What will the afternoon cover?
The afternoon will provide information on the Schools in Mind network from Jaime Smith (Head of Schools Engagement, AFNCCF). We will also hear about whole school approaches to mental health from Professor Neil Humphrey (Head of Manchester Institute of Education & Professor: Psychology of Education, University of Manchester) and the role of CYP in co-designing and delivering resilience work from the Blackpool Headstart team.
In addition we will have a free marketplace showcasing initiatives and resources designed to support mental health and wellbeing in schools by AFNCCF, Schools in Mind, University of Manchester, One Education and others.
Finally there will be networking for all attendees and presenters.
