Overview

Since 1984, I have worked as a clinical psychologist in services for children with a range of different needs including disability, pediatrics and in child mental health services. From 1995-2014, I was the Clinical Director of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Islington where we developed a community based model of service which provided a service in schools, social services and also developed ways of helping children who did  not seek help themselves; this latter area of work providing the platform for my collaboration with Dickon Bevington in creating the AMBIT Project. My current roles include being Clinical Director of Clinical Services at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and as joint Lead at UCL for the CYP-IAPT National Programme which aims to extend the use of evidence based practice across mainstream CAMHS services.
