The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families runs a number of short courses and specialist conferences throughout the year and a 10% discount is available on selected events. Please enquire when making a booking. Trainings are aimed mainly at mental-health and allied professionals and are core to the Centre’s mission of disseminating skills in innovative practice.

The short courses last between one and six days and are held both internally in the Centre’s training rooms, and externally in various settings. The course content ranges from teaching specific methods for working with patients (for example, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT)) to helping professionals gain deeper understanding of types of patient behaviour through research methods (for example, Child Attachment Interview (CAI) and Reflective Functioning on the Parent Development Interview (RF-PDI) trainings).
