Short Course and Conference Co-ordinator
(35 hours per week, £21-£23k per annum)

The post holder will co-ordinate and oversee all aspects of short course and conference organisation. The short courses and conferences form a vital part of the Centre of Learning and contribute to the Centre's activities providing a valuable source of income. The post holder will work with a range of course leaders to provide training and professional development to a range of students, NHS and allied health professionals. This will include research and development, marketing and administration of existing and new short courses and conferences. This is an exceptional opportunity for an intelligent, creative, hard working candidate to take these areas of the Centre's activities forward.

NLPPPC Co-ordinator - The Anna Freud Centre

Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
To start as soon as possible

Hours: by negotiation to a maximum of two and a half/ three days per week
Salary: negotiable, based on qualifications and experience

The North London Post Permanent Placement Consortium has been established as a collaboration between The Anna Freud Centre, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Marlborough Family Service, the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, Coram East Anglia in association with Adoption UK, the British Association of Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) and Coram. The aim of the Consortium is to improve the referral and assessment process between local authority adoption services and CAMHS to ensure effective interventions are provided that enhance child welfare outcomes and effective interventions. The Consortium is developing a model of excellent practice for the assessment and therapy for children and young people who have difficult life experience and who, with their adoptive families, foster placements or kinship carers, need post-placement support.

The Anna Freud Centre, on behalf of the Consortium, has a one-year Department for Children, Schools and Families (CYPF) grant to support the work of the Consortium.

Internal applications for the post of NLPPPC Co-ordinator are invited from staff within all organisations associated with the planning of the Consortium. The main purpose of the post will be to co-ordinate and ensure the achievement of the key outcomes and outputs detailed in the CYPF grant and to support the development of the NLPPPC.
