Multi-family Groups in Schools

Multi-family groups in schools model offers accessible, non-stigmatising, psychological support to children who are disruptive, hyperactive, impulsive, anxious, depressed, have erratic school attendance or experience social difficulties. The aim is to improve emotional, mental health-related and academic outcomes for children and young people with these complex problems by sharing experiences with other families.

Reflective Parenting Group

The reflective parenting group is an eight week programme which offers a highly collaborative approach for parents in order to promote family relationships, sensitive parenting and reduce the number of conflicts, bringing about behavioural changes and greater harmony. The core thread of the programme is to promote mentalizing in parents (i.e. the ability of a parent to understand the thoughts, feelings and needs of both themselves and their children).

Parent Toddler Group 

Weekly groups for parents and toddlers provide a consistent and safe environment for the toddler and their caregiver to allow them to explore ongoing concerns, as well as strengthen their relationship. This context allows the toddler’s developmental needs to be thought about, facilitates separation and individuation, and addresses difficulties in attachment and attunement.

Local Exchange for Adoptive Families (LEAF)

Local Exchange for Adoptive Families is a multi-family group-based programme that promotes family relationships for adoptive families and builds on existing strengths in order to help whole families manage the challenges of everyday life. LEAF offers families a safe space to share common experiences and support one another in a non-judgmental setting.

Circle of Security

Circle of Security is an eight-week parenting programme based on 50 years of attachment theory and research. The programme focuses on how parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened, making attachment theory accessible and applicable to parents of children of all age groups.
