National Fostering Stocktake
The Secretary of State for Education launched a National Fostering Stocktake on 21st April 2017. As part of this process, the reviewers, Sir Martin Narey and Mark Owers, sought views on the current state of foster care in England and how the prospects of children in care might be improved through changes to fostering.
Based on our expertise and experiences of working with look after children, the Anna Freud National Centre is produced a written response to the Call for Evidence which was submitted on 16th June 2017.
The Stocktake is due to conclude in December 2017. More information can be found on the Department for Education website.
