North Tyneside Carers Centre - Young Carers Service

Service Description

We provide confidential support, advice, information, guidance and emotional support to young carers aged 5-18 living in North Tyneside, who are caring for a family member because of an illness, disability, mental health or substance misuse problem.

We are an independent charity and the only generic carer support service in North Tyneside supporting both young and adult carers. Our knowledgeable team supports carers with everything from advocacy to mental health through one to one sessions and peer support groups. We also provide specialist training and information sessions created by us to help make life easier for you and the person you care for.

We provide young carers with practical and emotional support, activities for them to have fun and take a break from caring, opportunities to share their thoughts and influence positive changes for young carers.
