Nick: Youth Participation Officer

"I’m the Youth Participation Officer, my role is to get young people involved in projects across the Centre, from media to training to clinical services and more. I have been working in the field of youth mental health & participation since 2004 for various charities across the UK and you could say it has developed into a bit of a passion of mine. In my down time, you can find me watching or playing at gigs, running through the woods, swing dancing and travelling with friends. If you would like to be a Young Champion, do email me – I look forward to working with you."
Myrvete: Parent Participation Officer

"I am the part-time Parent Participation Officer and my role is to ensure the views of parents are represented by involving them across the centre to design services that are effective and accessible. I try to promote empowerment through building on existing knowledge and skills, identifying further training needs and setting up new exciting projects and activities for parents to participate. Throughout my career, I always thrive to put children and their families in everything I do which also reflects in my everyday practice. I absolutely love food, always eager to try new recipes and ready to share with family and friends. If you'd like to be a Parent Champion, please get in touch."
Aliza: Participation Support Worker

“I am a Participation Support Worker and my role at the centre includes, teaching on the Mental Health Workforce Development Program as well as, working closely with the Participation team to help organise events and activities and work with our champions (volunteers). A brilliant aspect of being involved in teaching on the Mental Health Workforce development program is that I am able to express a young person’s view and perspective. Alongside my role at the Anna Freud Centre I am studying at Psychology with Philosophy at University. In my spare time I enjoy going out and spending time with my friends and family. I also love musicals, drama and theatre. When I was at school I used to help put the annual production together. We had Annie, Oliver, Peter Pan and many others, it was my favourite time of year!”
