    Role: Research Associate

    Paula is a Research Associate at UCL and works primarily on the Nurturing Change study which is running in partnership with the Anna Freud Centre and ChAPTRe. This research project aims to develop and evaluate a new intervention programme for children in foster and kinship care in England who may be experiencing socio-emotional difficulties. Her main areas of interest are socio-emotional development and attachment in children at risk. Her PhD focused on attachment and social disturbances in institutionalised children in Portugal. She continues to be passionate about learning new ways to improve the mental wellbeing of children looked after.
