Dynamic Interpersonal Training (DIT) Refresher course

This is a course for qualified DIT practitioners who would like to refresh their skills. It is also for those who have undertaken the 5-day or 20-day DIT training but have not gone on to the supervised practice; or those who have not completed their case study; or those who have not had formal supervision of their DIT work and have stopped using it in their IAPT practice.

It builds on your prior knowledge of the DIT model. The course is a requirement for those people who have not been able to start their supervised DIT practice within six months of completing the course and who need to refresh their knowledge of the model. It is optional for anyone working in the DIT model who would like to revisit the core concepts. 

We are providing a limited number of subsidised places on this workshop for those NHS trusts that currently have a subscription with Bespoke Mental Health. The subsidised places will be allocated to IAPT DIT practitioners from the following trusts:

The workshop focuses on core aspects of the DIT model including negotiating the IPAF, using the attachment questionnaire and outcome measures, the defensive function of the IPAF as opposed to the defences, the reversal of the IPAF, working with the transference in DIT, mentalising and working with affect. You will be able to fine-tune your DIT practice to ensure you are on model as well as revisit core techniques and concepts in DIT before starting supervised practice for those people who have had delays in taking on training patients after completing the training.
