About this course

This talk, led by Professor Ann Buchanan (MBE) - Senior Research Associate at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention, University of Oxford - will look at the importance of family relationships on children's wellbeing, both in and beyond the immediate family.

Bringing together years of research on fathers, mothers and grandparents, undertaken at the Centre for Research into Parenting and Children at the University of Oxford, this talk aims to help parents better understand, no matter the varied family situations they come from, the importance of generational family bonds on parenting and on a child's wellbeing and development.

The 45 minute talk will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A session.

Light refreshments will be provided.
