In our first Schools in Mind event at the Kantor Centre of Excellence in King's Cross, we will be celebrating the initiatives and resources which the network has developed over the last few years. We will also be showcasing some of the wider schools work going on across the Centre including our Schools Outreach Service and the Pears Family School, which is an unique alternative provision school on the same campus.

Speakers include Jaime Smith (Director of Mental Health and Wellbeing in Schools Programme, AFC), Dr. Jess Deighton (Co-Director - Evidence Based Practice Unit, UCL & AFC), Dr. Cyra Neave (Senior Clinician - Schools Outreach Service, AFC) and Matthew Hillman (Headteacher, The Family School).

There will also be:

  • Opportunities for group discussion and networking
  • A chance to hear about the work of the Schools in Mind network
  • Tips and best practice examples about whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing
  • Access to free resources
