Schools in Mind - Surrey: Building an evidence base in schools in light of the green paper
About this course
Following the success of our national campaign 'You’re Never Too Young to Talk Mental Health' last term where we provided all primary schools with a free Talking Mental Health animation and accompanying teacher resource pack, the Schools in Mind network will be hosting a free, interactive child mental health and wellbeing workshop for all school staff and allied professionals in Surrey on Wednesday 14th March 2018.
The afternoon will be an opportunity to hear what the current evidence tells us about supporting mental health and wellbeing in schools and a chance to reflect on the recommendations of the green paper and what this will mean for schools.
Surrey charity Eikon will be speaking about the local context and their work with some of the county’s most vulnerable young people. CORC will be running a short workshop which will give practical information on measuring and monitoring mental health and wellbeing in schools. Everyone attending will be able to access free resources (including our new Secondary Talking Mental Health resources ) and spend some time networking with colleagues from the local area.
Who is the afternoon for?
Schools in Mind members; Primary and Secondary school staff and allied professionals in Surrey and surrounding areas.
Support for this workshop has come from Wellcome Trust and Jo Malone London.
