About this online event

CORC Forum 2023

Tuesday 21 November 2023

The annual CORC Forum brings together members and colleagues from the research, mental health and education sectors. This flagship event features inspirational speakers, exciting topics and compelling discussions. We are looking forward to sharing regional, national and international mental health developments with our CORC members, network and colleagues, helping to expand your knowledge of mental health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.

Following on from our successful online Forum last year, this year’s CORC Forum will again take place online, making it easily accessible to those across the UK and in other countries.

Our keynote speaker will be David Trickey a consultant clinical psychologist who has specialised in working with traumatised children, young people and their families since 2000. He is co-director of the UK Trauma Council which harnesses the expertise of the UK’s leading child trauma experts to produce resources for those working with traumatised children and young people, as well as guidance and policy briefings based on the best available evidence. His talk focusses on 'Unravelling Traumatic Events: Minimising their impact through evidence-based understanding and intervention'.

Attendees can also expect to enjoy an update from CORC Programme Manager, Nick Tait, on various developments and projects from within CORC, a session from CORC member organisation SWEDA on 'Measuring impact in a specialist charity setting', and the introduction of ‘Understanding and addressing the challenges of outcome measurement associated with differences in culture’ guidance by CORC Regional Improvement Officer, Rachael Grant.

Reflections from last year’s forum can be found here. If there is anything you'd like to share or see at the event, please get in touch and we can consider this.

Full agenda and timings to be announced soon.

Recordings will be made available to ticket holders after the event.
