About this event
This webinar will be explore growing the workforce through Health Education England (HEE) funded CYP IAPT 0-5s practitioners. It is aimed at NHS, Local Government and 3rd Sector commissioners and service managers in London and the wider South East area who are interested in expanding their offer as well as services who would like to learn from their peers. Prospective candidates will apply for posts via these services but may like to join to find out more about the linked CYP IAPT 0-5s PG Diploma.
Most parents and their infants are growing up in areas where they do not have access to specialist support services to meet their unique emotional and mental health needs. Increasing the workforce, both the number of teams that exist, and the numbers of practitioners within existing teams is a key priority.
The programme offers a partnership with existing and developing infant mental health teams to support the growth of the workforce. It aims to bridge the gap between highly specialist parent infant psychotherapists and the rest of the workforce, who have little access to extended specialist trainings in this area. Services are funded to recruit a full-time practitioner for one year who will attend the CYP IAPT PGDip 2 days a week and work clinically under supervision in that service for 3 days per week. Over the year they will be trained in the fundamentals of infant mental health and core therapeutic skills as well as receiving specialist training in parenting interventions and training and accreditation in microanalytic video feedback.
This webinar will give further information to services, including how to apply for this funding before the deadline in late June.
