Transformation Seminars

The Transformation Seminars are a series of free online events where we contemplate the future of children and young people’s mental health. Join us as we ask some of the most eminent names in mental health: what would most contribute to a transformation of our approach to mental health?

About this seminar

Thursday 12th May

In this talk, Professor Danny Dorling will look at how people in Great Britain have responded to the various waves of the pandemic in terms of their fluctuating sense of how long it will take their life to return to normal, or if they think it ever will.

A regular survey of people across Great Britain has been taken every week or two weeks since 20th March 2020. People have been asked a wide variety of questions in this survey, including about their own mental health. The data is available subdivided in many ways, including by age.

So what we can see when we look at the trends over time, by age, and across different parts of Britain? And what might this mean for how we are changing in terms of how sure we collectively are about ourselves and our futures?

The format of the Transformation Seminars are:

17:20 - 17:30   Registration (log-in to online seminar)

17:30 - 18:15   Transformation Seminar
