About this training
Please note that this webinar is only available for those who have been invited to attend.
Based on learnings from The Pears Family School, an alternative provision founded by the Anna Freud Centre, a highly accessible training course entitled ‘Parent and Carer Engagement in Child Mental Health’ has been designed specifically for parents and carers to teach them about a range of topics regarding behavioural and emotional health.
Parents or carers who complete the course can gain an accredited certification. The curriculum of the course is also readily accessible for colleagues in education.
We now have the opportunity to further disseminate this programme by piloting a train-the-trainer model to a small number of schools. The aim of the webinar is to deliver a train-the trainer package which will enable school colleagues to set up and run the training course, ‘Parent and Carer Engagement in Child Mental Health’ in their own schools.
Delivered by Consultant Psychotherapists and Co-founders of the Pears Family School, Brenda McHugh and Neil Dawson, this training will provide delegates with the necessary tools to embed this systemic intervention within their setting.
