About this course
AMBIT is a mentalization based approach for teams working with complex young people with severe and multiple needs. The AMBIT approach provides tools for putting mentalization to use in work with clients, team colleagues and wider inter-agency networks, and is designed to support the development of both local excellence and evidence-based practice.
The Train the Trainer model is designed to make training more sustainable and affordable for teams; a minimum of two members in a team are given an extensive five day training which includes learning how to run trainings for the rest of their team. These local trainers are then supported in implementing the approach through webinars led by the AMBIT project for twelve months following training.
This course is designed especially for International teams; the training days run consecutively to reduce travel. Opportunities to hear about the work of the Anna Freud Centre for Children and Families will be included in the programme, including a talk from the Centre's Chief Executive Peter Fonagy.
The first stage of training will be an engagement meeting or telephone conversation between an Associate AMBIT Trainer from the Centre, and your Team and Service Manager(s) to discuss your training needs further.
