Overview

Dr Grace Baptie works at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families as Trial Coordinator for a randomised controlled trial to test the effectiveness of ‘Circle of Security’ group therapy for perinatal mental health and parent-infant bond.

Previous to her current role, Grace completed her doctoral thesis on Birth Trauma at the University of Plymouth and has published works in the field of perinatal vulnerability and parent’s subjective experience of birth in relation to postnatal posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She also supervises a range of postgraduate service evaluations and has collaborated with perinatal charities and working groups seeking to improve maternity care provision.
