Dr Nicola Cosgrave qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1996, from the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN, Kings College London). Nicola worked for 8 years as a tutor on their Doctoral programme in Clinical Psychology and she retains a position as a visiting teacher. Currently she is employed as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (South London and Maudsley NHS Trust) and is the Clinical Director of the London Infant and Family Team, NSPCC. Nicola has over 20 years research and clinical expertise in the area of child maltreatment and has just embarked on a three year fellowship with NICE to complete a project on infant mental health. She has substantial experience in working with children and families undergoing both care and criminal proceedings. Rumour has it that Nicola likes to relax by drinking red wine and reading trashy magazines.
