Dr. Saralea Engel Chazan has a B.A. with honors in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (1968), an M.S. in clinical psychology from Columbia University (1960), a Ph.D in clinical child psychology from Ohio State University (1971), where she completed internship training at Children'S Hospital Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Chazan completed a postgraduate certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with children and families at Adelphi University (1986). She has been in private practice with children and their families in the New York City area since 1981. She has published widely in professional journals and the following books: Children with Conduct Disorders (with Paulina Kernberg), Basic Books (1991); Simultaneous Treatment of Parent and Child, Basic Books (1995), Profiles of Play, Jessica Kngsley Press, (2002).
