Jennifer was the Chief Clinical Psychologist at the Anna Freud Centre, where she trained in child and adolescent psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, from 1986, and then a staff member teaching, supervising and doing clinical work at the clinic for over 20 years. She also worked in the NHS in in-patient and community paediatrics and then as a Consultant Lead for the Looked after children and Adolescent team, and as a Consultant Child Psychotherapist in South London and Maudsley Trust. Jennifer works in London in full- time private practice, teaching at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and IPCAPA. She has taught internationally and published in several journals as well as publishing a book The Nursery Age Child (2009) in the Karnac Developmental Series. Jennifer is particularly interested in severe disturbance throughout the life cycle, creativity and the interface between politics and psychoanalysis. Jennifer was a member of the group at the Anna Freud centre, which revised the Diagnostic Profile of Anna Freud, which was published in 2017 in the Journal of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.
