Dr Virginia Ghiara
Dr Virginia Ghiara worked as a visiting researcher at Imperial College London, School of Public Health, and as a Project Investigator with Public Health England, where she developed new evidence appraisal tools for the Immunisation Team. Virginia completed her research masters in philosophy and economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and her PhD at University of Kent on philosophy of the social sciences. During her PhD, Virginia explored how causal relationships can be established in the social sciences and how to combine quantitative and qualitative data in causal studies.
She also worked as an assistant lecturer teaching logic and philosophy of language. Virginia is a member of the Q Community of the Health Foundation and she completed the charity fast-track course delivered by Utopy.
