Alessandra Lemma is a Consultant at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society. Until 2016 she was Professor of Psychological Therapies at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and the School of Health and Human Sciences at Essex University. She continues to be Visiting Professor in the Psychoanalysis Unit, University College London where she lectures and supervises PhD students. She is Visiting Professor, Istituto Winnicott, Sapienza University of Rome and Centro Winnicott, Rome. She is the Editor of the New Library of Psychoanalysis book series (Routledge) and one of the Regional Editors for the peer-reviewed journal, International Journal of Psychoanalysis. She has published extensively on psychoanalysis, the body, trauma and the impact of new technologies.
