Dr Anne Mcfayden
Dr Anne McFadyen is the Infant Mental Health Lead for the Scottish Perinatal Mental Health Managed Clinical Network.
She has worked as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the NHS from 1991, most recently in NHS Lanarkshire CAMHS. She was Chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland Child and Adolescent Faculty from 2013 to 2016, and the Lead Clinician of the West of Scotland CAMHS Network from 2009 until 2016.
Anne started her medical career in Glasgow before moving to the Tavistock Clinic in London for her Higher Training. She subsequently worked as a Senior Lecturer in Dundee and London, where she worked in both a hospital-based infant mental health service and the Under-5s service at the Tavistock Clinic.
She is passionate about early intervention and the development of accessible services. Her research includes the study of early relationships in different contexts.
