Overview

Stephen Taylor is the Founding Headteacher of The Pears Family School London, a school for children excluded from regular school as a result of significant behavioural or mental health problems which was rated ‘outstanding’ at its first UK government inspection in 2017. Stephen now leads on the dissemination of the Family School Model that aims to reduce school exclusions through keeping parents and carers at the centre of a change model by engaging systemic thinking. He is an Honorary Research Associate in the department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at University College London, and a Tutor and lecturer on the Trailblazer’s Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) course.
