Alicia Wood
Overview
Alicia has worked for more than 30 years supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities to get the housing and support they need to live fulfilled lives in their communities.
Working with government and the statutory and voluntary sector, she has led initiatives that give people more control over their lives such as home ownership and personal budgets.
Recently she carried out a thematic review for the DHSC with Baroness Hollins on people in long term segregation and is currently the CEO of Beyond Words , the visual literacy charity. She is late diagnosed autistic.
