Jenifer Wakelyn



Dr Jenifer Wakelyn worked in early years education before training as a psychoanalytic child psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre. She is lead child and adolescent psychotherapist in a mental health service for children in care in London. She teaches and supervises in the Tavistock Centre child psychotherapy training and privately and has a special interest in therapeutic support for babies and young children in care and has presented research on interventions for children in care in the UK, Europe and the Ukraine. Her book Therapeutic Approaches with Babies and Young Children in Care: Observation and Attention will be published by Routledge in September 2019.
