Julia Walsh

Overview

Julia is a qualified nurse and worked for the NHS. During this time, she trained to be a person-centred counsellor, gaining experience in play, adult and family therapy. She has managed a third sector mental health service for children, young people and their families in the Northwest of England. Julia worked closely with Local Authorities, specialist CAMHS and CCG’s supporting children and young people to access mild to moderate intensity, mental health interventions. Using her understanding of the diversity of educational settings, Julia delivers a wide range of training packages to support staff in schools. The role engages senior education staff with different backgrounds, skills and experience to support them to foster cultural and organisational change.
