The International Attachment Conference 2017
The International Attachment Conference 2017, held at the Institute of Education, UCL, London from Thursday 29th June to Saturday 1st July 2017, was a huge success.
The conference welcomed over 520 attendees from over 41 countries over the 3 days. The conference content was of a high calibre, focusing on Maltreatment, Trauma, Child Development, The Early Origins of Socio-Emotional Development, Adolescence, Relationships and Psychopathology.
The work and research of the presenters was delivered with over 190 posters displayed over the 3 days, 9 keynote speakers and 44 symposium sessions. The conference featured many of the lead speakers in the field including Peter Fonagy, Marian Bakerman-Kranenberg, Jonathan Hill, Miriam Steele, Mary Dozier, Pasco Fearon and Edmund Sonuga-Barke.
Many of our alumni were involved in speaking at parallel sessions during the conference including Tobi Nolte, Dana Shai, Rose Spenser, Rinat Feniger-Schaal, Rand Omary, Rachel Ransley, Tina Adkins, Antonella Cirasola and Michelle Sleed.
