Through the generosity of our donor, The Chesser Trust, and in line with their aim of supporting: ‘The advancement of the education and training of students concerned with the application of psychoanalytic principles to child psychotherapy’ The Anna Freud Centre is delighted to call for applications for 4 x £3,000 bursaries

These bursaries will help support current students and alumni of the UCL MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology and the UCL MSc in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice as they work towards fulfilling the criteria necessary to enable them to make an application for training as a child psychotherapist with an ACP recognised training school. Alumni currently training as a child and adolescent psychotherapist are not eligible to apply.

Please email Kay Asquith at for the application form which should be submitted by the deadline of Thursday 24th November 9am.

Applications will be judged by an internal AF/UCL panel and their decision is final. Decisions are based on the quality of the application form, there is no interview process. Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 9th December. It is a condition of being awarded a bursary that successful candidates agree to provide the Chesser Trust with six monthly progress reports (ie 2 in the year of the bursary award).
