Dr Theresa Schwaiger, Clinical Psychologist
Dr Schwaiger trained as a Clinical and Health Psychologist in Vienna, Austria (2011) and qualified from University College London in 2016. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Austrian Ministry of Health. She has specialised in the work with complex childhood and adult trauma and has gained experience providing assessment and treatment for refugees and asylum seekers, homeless people and children with history of attachment disruption, severe abuse and neglect. She recently held a position in a specialist NHS service for Looked After and Adopted Children (South London and Maudsley NHS Trust). In the AFNCCF she is based in the Specialist Trauma and Maltreatment Service where she provides assessment and treatment for children and families in and at the edge of care. She speaks English and German.
