INSPIRE

The INSPIRE project will involve Year 7 and 8 pupils in 64 secondary schools and Year 4 and 5 pupils in 160 primary schools across England, split between four hubs:

• London,
• Greater Manchester
• Bristol/Bath
• Durham

Secondary schools will need to select three year 7 classes and three year 8 classes to take part in the project.

Primary schools will need to select one or two year 4 classes and one or two year 5 classes to take part - we need at least one class from each year group. 

Schools participating in the INSPIRE trial will be randomly allocated to one of four conditions in October 2018:

1. Mindfulness 

2. Relaxation 

3. Strategies for Safety and Wellbeing 

4. Usual Practice
