Power Up and Power Up +
Power Up +
Power Up+ is a digital tool to support wellbeing in young people with SEND. It aims to support them in taking an active role in the decisions about their life, facilitate a level of independence and enable their voices to be heard through helping expression of feelings and emotion. It has been developed with feedback and input from young people with special educational needs, parents/carers, and Learning Disability clinicians within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
The tool is a web app and can be used on computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets as a secure space autonomously or with teachers and parent/carers.
We have now started the RCT, and results will be published in late 2019. If you would like to find out any more about the app please get in touch.
An app that aims to empower young people to take an active role in decision making and to promote agency and wellbeing, Power Up was originally developed for use within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). It was tested by young people aged 16-18 in schools and colleges, with their feedback forming a crucial part of the app's development.
We have now finished the RCT. Results are being analysed and will be published in late 2019. If you would like to find out any more about the app please get in touch.
