Family Ties Online Help for Parents in Conflict
Welcome to the Family Ties Online Help for Parents in Conflict intersession page.
Welcome to the Family Ties Online Help for Parents in Conflict intersession page. This page is where you can access any online resources and the homework tasks set between sessions during your participation in the programme. You must complete each intersession task, as your next session cannot go ahead until the previous task is done. If you have any questions, please speak to your Family Ties practitioner.

Including your Network
Social and family networks can be crucial in supporting parents in conflict and their children. Sometimes they are part of the problem, sometimes not, but very often they are part of the solution. Family Ties Online asks parents from the beginning to think about who in their network (friends and/or family members) may be able to support them throughout the intervention. Your network will help you with your intersession tasks and try to keep you motivated and engaged with the work, providing different perspectives and emotional support. They are invited to attend one session with you around halfway through the programme to help you think about stress management.
There are other opportunities for them to participate if they want, but this is optional. It is really important that you discuss these tasks with your network, and bring their feedback to sessions with your therapist. If you have any questions or concerns about this, ask your therapist. Before the first session, please watch the seminar below on Getting Support. If you have any questions or concerns about the involvement of friends and/or family, this can be discussed during your first session with your therapist.
